Mitmak, formerly known as Imperial Holdings represents all the major automotive brands in its dealer network. Motus Corporation, Southern Africa’s largest leading automotive retail organisation, has a story that dates back to 1946 with the opening of a humble motor dealership in downtown Johannesburg, Barney’s Super Service Station. In 1964 the business adopted the Imperial name, which laid the foundation for the Imperial Automotive retail division. In 1987 Imperial listed on the JSE as Imperial Holdings, and grew into one of South Africa’s largest diversified conglomerates. Following a strategic portfolio realignment in 2017, the then familiar business Associated Motor Holdings and Imperial’s vehicle divisions merged into one brand, Motus, which was later listed on the JSE on 22 November 2018. Today Motus is renowned for its long-standing importer and retail partnerships with leading automotive manufacturers. Motus represents 22 OEMs through 321 vehicle dealerships, which includes 77 pre-owned dealerships
